Elementary Events

 OAKFIELD-ALABAMA

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION SCHEDULED 

Kindergarten registration is scheduled for Monday March 22^nd through Friday, March 26^th at the elementary school office between the hours of 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM.  Information packets were mailed to families at the end of January.  If you did not receive a packet or are new to the district, please notify the elementary office at 948-5211 ext 3234 or ext 3211.  Please bring the following mandatory documents with you: your child’s birth certificate, proof of residency and a current immunization record. Only children who have reached their fifth birthday on or before December 1, 2010 can be registered for the 2010-2011 school year. 

Children who are residents of the district and who will be four years of age on or before December 1, 2010 are eligible to apply for Universal Pre-Kindergarten. Four year olds have the opportunity to attend the half day program in the morning or the afternoon.  Those packets were also mailed in January and should be returned along with a copy of your child’s birth certificate, proof of residency and a current immunization record to the elementary office by March 1^st.

3/1 – UPK Registration Deadline

3/3 – Elementary Pops Concert – 7PM MHS Auditorium

3/5 – Reading incentive program “Read Like a Rock Star” begins.  This runs through 3/26

3/9 – Math Olympiad Competition

3/12 – ECSO Winter Carnival 6:30PM-9:30PM at the elementary building

3/22-26 – Kindergarten Registration 

4/12 – PageTurners Competition at Pembroke

4/21 – Elementary Parent/Teacher Conference Day – NO SCHOOL for elementary students only

4/23 – Career Day – contact Mrs. Wilkosz at x3304 to volunteer

4/26-28 – ELA Testing for grades 3, 4, 5

4/26-30 – Kindergarten Screening

4/29 – Author Visit with Mary Amato 

5/5-7 – Math Testing for grades 3, 4, 5

5/11 – Galliard Brass Quintet Assembly (K-5)

5/20 – Parent’s Day Lunch and Fine Arts Show 

6/1 – PBS Character Magic Assembly (PK-5)

6/2 – Elementary Spring Concert – 7PM MHS Auditorium

6/4 – 4th Grade Albany Trip

6/18 – Elementary Field Days

6/23 – 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony
