Excelsior Scholarship / Enhanced Tuition Awards

 
- The Excelsior Scholarship, in combination with other student financial aid programs, allows students to attend a SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free.
- The Enhanced Tuition Awards (ETA) program provides tuition awards to students who are New York State residents attending a participating private college located in New York State. Recipients will receive $6,000 through a combination of their TAP award, ETA award and a match from their private college.

HESC is pleased to announce that the Excelsior Scholarship Application is now available.

In order to apply, students must meet eligibility requirements, including:

  • Be residents of New York State
  • Plan to attend a SUNY or CUNY college or university in pursuit of a two-year or four-year degree
  • Have a family federal adjusted gross income of $110,000 or less
  • Be on track to graduate on time with an Associate's Degree in two consecutive years or a Bachelor's Degree in four consecutive years

To complete the application, you will need:

  • 2016 IT-201 NYS Income Tax Return(s) for you and your parent(s) or your spouse, as applicable

HESC is pleased to announce that the Enhanced Tuition Awards application for the 2018-19 academic year opens for new applicants on Monday, April 2 at 9:00am and closes on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 11:59pm.
