Changes are coming to New York State's graduation requirements.
The Portrait of a Graduate outlines how these changes will be phased in.

Education should be a canvas for every student’s future. Our students deserve learning that connects to real-world challenges and passions.
Through project-based learning, internships, and hands-on experiences, we’re preparing curious, compassionate leaders ready to solve complex problems. Students are developing skills, earning certifications, and exploring careers in fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, and public health.
NY Inspires is driving change statewide, scaling what works so that all students experience rigorous, relevant, and future-focused learning. We’re turning proven practices into a unified vision that empowers students and prepares them for a changing world.

What are Title Grants?
Title grant funds are federal monies that are meant to supplement, not replace, existing state funding for education. Title funds were established by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965 and amended in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015. These funds are released yearly from the federal government; State Educational Agencies (SEAs) and Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) then allocate a percentage to individual schools and districts.
