OA Band Students Shine in Buffalo!
Posted Date: 10/20/26 (12:30 PM)
On October 16th and 17th, the 18th Annual Buffalo State College Honor Band took place. This event is comprised of 100 students from all over WNY to make a complete and balanced band with a professional conductor and outstanding repertoire.
This year, 4 students from OA were accepted to perform. Senior Emily Gould was selected as first trumpet and also had a solo during two pieces. Junior Ysabella Schrauger on flute and Sophomores Nathan Staebell on Tenor Sax and Acelyne Conibear on flute rounded out our OA participants. These students put on a concert in 24 hours, and sounded like they had been playing together all year. The faculty and staff at BSC commented on the incredible musicianship and behavior of our students.
We are SO proud of our musicians and our music department. Keep up the good work!
