The PSAT/NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It's a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT Test™. The Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a co-sponsored program by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Taking the PSAT will allow students to:

  1. Practice for the SAT
  2. Obtain more information about colleges
  3. Receive feedback regarding their academic skills
  4. Qualify them for the National Merit Scholastic Scholarship

 Registration for the PSAT can be done in the Counseling Center or at College Board

Preparation for the PSAT can be found in the Counseling Center or at KapTest.  Kaplan is an online service that provides FREE & LIVE help for the PSAT test.  Online lessons will be available for registration.
