Public Access to Records

 

In accordance with New York State Law, the Oakfield-Alabama Central School District complies with the rules and regulations of the Public Officers Law, Article 6, Section 87, Freedom of Information Law (FOIL).

 

Under FOIL law, all records* (with certain limitations) produced and/or maintained by the school district are considered public documents and subject to the freedom of information requests.

 

Fees:

There is a charge of $0.25 (twenty-five cents) per page for copying of records.  If preparation of records requires more than 2 hours the preparation may be charged at the lowest hourly rate to prepare them.

What to include in your request: The request should be as specific as possible regarding the records requested.  Requests must include the full name of the requesting person, their email address and a telephone number.
